Marianne Hewitt collaborated with David Raab, Founder of the CDP Institute, on a survey of Institute vendor members to learn how robust their CDP offerings (Customer Data Platform) are with respect to Consent and Preference Management and satisfying Customer Privacy Requests.

Customer Data Platforms (#cdps ) share a core set of features (e.g. generate a unified customer profile). CDPs also differ from each other in providing specialized features such as identity management.

More recently Privacy has become another differentiating feature among CDP offerings.

The survey also sought to determine to what degree CDPs are integrated with pure-play privacy governance solutions.

The survey results indicate that CDP vendors are storing and using customer data to govern data access among other features. The question begs: Can a CDP replace your Consent Management Platform?

The report provides a way to get to the answer that is right for your organization.
